Tonight I watched the fireworks for Guy Fawkes Day from the top of Hampstead Heath with Roscoe, Sheila, and some of the students.
The photo quality isn’t great, but we could see all of London—the Heath is a huge park up on a hill. When Guy Fawkes tried to blow up Parliament on 5 November 1605 (known as the Gunpowder Plot), he apparently came up here with his henchmen to watch the explosion. Obviously, it didn’t work, so he probably just played some pickup football in the park.
